Immigration and social inclusion
Project week at Nesodden
10th-14th February 2020
The students' task was to make a plan for an activity or an event in their your local community which encourages social inclusion, mutual understanding and sharing of experience. They wrote essays, made posters and prepared digital presentations. The students presented their work for representatives from Nesodden municipality on the final day of the project. The students' projects ideas and essays were handed over to Ingunn Frantzen, the leader of The department for integration and diversity. The students' ideas will be taken into consideration in the municipality's ongoing process of integrating refugees and imigrants in the local community.

The task: Write a text where you explain why you think this activity or event will lead to social inclusion, mutual understanding and sharing of experience. Explain why this activity will encourage immigrants/refugees to be active citizens and how it can encourage the local community to participate in the integration process. Evaluate and reflect upon strong and weak sides of your activity or event.
